Maria Higson is an NHS Director of Transformation with expertise in innovation and biomedical engineering. She currently works on integrating health and social care and recently completed her second degree from Oxford University in Translational Health Sciences, having previously graduated in Engineering.
Maria is honoured to be the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for East Ham in the 2024 General Election.
She is a former Councillor and a Conservative activist, having stood twice for election in Camden and Hampshire. She has campaigned up and down the country, focusing her efforts on marginal seats.
Outside of politics, Maria lives on the Hampshire/ Berkshire border and is a Cub Scout Leader, a Parish Councillor and a dinghy sailor.
